MARY MURUGI WANJAU
It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mary Murugi Wanjau on 9th April 2023.
Beloved wife to the late Godfrey Wanjau Matemo. Loving mother to the late Peter Matemo, Leah Matemo, Gabriel Gachugu, Stephen Muchiri, Joseph Kabagi, Margaret Njoki, and Simon Muchora.
Mother in Law to Eunice Matemo, Jayne Kariuki, Zeripah Muchiri,Winnie Kabagi and Carol Muchora.
Daughter of the late Gachugu Kabagi and the late Leah Wathuti Gachugu of Karima, Othaya. She was a loving sister to Simon Kabagi, Paul Karinga, John Kaguru and Gikonyo Gachugu. Sister in law to the late Warukira Kondoro, Nduta Waruta, Wanjiku Ndiritu, the late Muchiri Matemo, Ngima Wambugu, Agnes Kabagi, the late Jane Karinga, Nyambura Kaguru and Anne Gikonyo.
She was a cherished grandmother to Mukami Matemo, Wanjau Matemo, the late Munene Matemo, Olivia Murugi, Joy Gathoni, Faith Murugi, Joy Wangui, Kevin Wanjau, James Kariuki, Rosemary Murugi, Evans Wanjau, Joseph Kanyiri, Brian Kabagi, Brianna Murugi, Diana Nyambura, Wayne Wanjau, Sandra Murugi, David Wanjau and Mark Mwai.
An adorable great grandmother to Jayden Peter Matemo and Annceline Kwamboka. A loving aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Family and friends meet on Thursday 13th April 2023 at Leah’s residence.
On Friday 14th April, 2023 there will be a celebration of Holy Mass at 4.00pm at the same venue.
Daily meetings are ongoing at her home in Ol Joro Orok.
She will be laid to rest in Ol Joro Orok, Nyandarua County, on Wednesday, 19th April 2023.
In God’s hands you rest, in our hearts you live forever. May her Soul Rest in Eternal Peace. Amen.
