It is with sadness that we announce the passing on of Gladys Wambui Kibira. She hails from Tambaya, Mukurwe-ini Sub County.

Daughter of the late Florence Wangeci and the late Thiong’o Ndegwe.

Wife to the late Kibira Gichohi. Mother to the late Wanjiru Kibira, Cyrus Maina, the late Francis Thiong’o, the late Winfred Wangeci, the late Lilian Wanjiku and Jeniffer Nyambura. Sister to the late Kahindo Thiong’o and Grace Wahuini Thiong’o.

Mother-in-love to Rebecca Wachuka, Fidelis Muthoni and Simon Thuku Kanui. Stepmother to Donald Kamuru, Johnson Gachau, Jackson Kamuru, Peter Kamuru among others. Grandmother and Great grandmother to many.

Meetings are on-going at Holy Family Basilica, Nairobi on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday 5:30pm and at her home in Tambaya Village.

The cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home, Nyeri at 9:00am. Funeral service ‘ will be at P.C.E.A Church Tambaya on Tuesday, 6th June, 2023 and thereafter will be laid to rest at her home Tambaya Village.
