RUTH MAKAA KWALI
Born: 1918 – Rested: 27th May, 2023
It is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Ruth Makaa Kwali, which occurred on the 27th of May, 2023 at the Coptic Hospital.
She was the loving daughter to the late Muthanze Kiti and the late Kasia Kasyimi. She was the first grand child of the then famous Kasyimi Kilali, a stepdaughter to the late Wangwau, Liu and Masaa.
Her siblings were the late Matulu, Kalekye, Mwavu, Musyimi, Munuve, Joseph Kibaki, Kolo, Malia, Mbandu and Ngove among others.
Ruth was married to the late Kwali Mwetu and together were blessed with 10 children namely the late Kyambati, the late Mwetu, the late Magdalene Katuta, Michael Kasia, the late Francis Nason, Beatrice Matuku, Mary Mwanzia, Joseph Nzomo, Sakayo Mwendwa and Catherine Kithendu.
She was step-mother to Elizabeth Nzangi, the late Bernard Ngunguti, Simeon Mutuli, the late Mwendwa, Paul Ngei, Rachael Kausya, Ann Sabina, Jackline Musili, Felistus Nduku and Joel Ndaisi.
Her parents in-law were the late Mary Kambui and the late Mwetu Musyimi (Kalatina). She was an aunt, grandmother, a great grandmother and dear friend to-many more.
The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary & Funeral Home at 7:00am on Saturday, 10th June, for the burial at the Kwali’s farm in Nguutani, Mwingi on the same day.
We thank God for over a century of a life well-lived and praise His name now and forever.
