It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Kaleb Kidake Musalia of Kigama, Maragoli, Sabatia, Vihiga County. Formerly of Kenya Posts and Telecommunication Corporation (KPTC). He passed on 11th July, 2023 at Coptic hospital after illnesses bravely borne.

Son to the the late Mzee Stephano Musalia and the late Mama Selina Lumadi.

Husband to Margaret Ijaza. Father to Jane Chavera, the late Stephen Musalia, the late Caroline Doyi Omega, Pamela Kerre, Peter Aswani, Sally Lumadi Kidake, Betty Kidake, George Kidake and Tom (Jay) Kidake. Father in law to Herman Chavera, Muthoni Gacibi, Jerusa Musalia, Ben Omega, Prof. B.Wanjala Kerre, Elizabeth Ngeresa and the late Ken Ayodi.

Grandfather to (The Chaveras) Maxi Wattanga, Linda Weru, Kevin, Chris, (The Musalias), Dr. Selina, Dr. Matthew, Francis, Ijaza, Javan, (The Omegas) Hilda, Martin, Michael, Brenda, (The Kerres) Michael, Yvonne, Felix. (The Ayodis) Alvin, Mugeyi, Lukas Wanjala, Louis, (The Aberes) Dudley, Gloria, (The Jays) Brenda, Bruce, Aswani, Becky, Chogo.

Brother to the late Matayo Mwenesi, the late Sabeti Ovita, the late Reba Onyino, the late Javan Kihamba, Abigail Indire, the late Respa Omido, the late Doyi Kaiga and Erica Keta Kulumba.

Brother-in-law to the late Daudi kevogo, Safina Kabei, Loi Musimbi and the late Esther Keverenge, the late Ovita, the late Onyino, the late Omido, the late Kaiga, Prof Indire, the late Dr. Kulumba.

Uncle to the Mwenesi’s, Ovita’s, Onyino’s, Kihamba’s, Indire’s Omido’s Kaigas, and Kulumba’s. A great grandfather to many.

A memorial service will be held in his honor- at Friends Church Ngong Rd (Friends International Center) at 2.00pm on Wednesday, 19th July 2023.

The cortege leaves Nairobi for Vihiga on Thursday 20th July 2023. The burial service will be held at Kigama Primary School on 22nd July, 2023 and thereafter for burial at his home in Kigama village, Vihiga County.
