It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Ev.Mama Margaret Adhiambo Oduru which occurred on 8th July 2023 after a long illness bravely borne.

Wife of Zadock Oduru (late). Co-wife to Teresa Akeyo. Mother to Lawrence, Moses, Rev. Betty, Okinyi, Joey (S. Africa), Lilian (USA), Kevin, Janet, Winnie and Valentine (Momanyi & Associates Advocates). Stepmother to Justus and Jennifer (late). Her adopted children are Hansen, Isaiah, Deborah and Brenda.

Daughter of Ibrahim Orwa (late) and Consolata Orwa (late). Sister to Monica (late), Peter, Miriam, Dorothy (late), Joseph, Rev. Dalmas, Dickson and Khillience.

Daughter-in-law to Joseph Sule (late) and Agnes Sule (late).

Mother in-law to Pamela, Linda, Josiah, Maureen, Rose, Winnie K, Dennis, Emmanuel, Anne, Rebecca and Helida.

Grandmother to Cyrill, Maureen, Joseph, Meshack, Linda, Oyoo, Cindy, David, Caitlin, Elycia, Sharon, Steve,Vallery, Jedidah, Kevin, Margaret (Stephanie) Nicole, Steve Andy, Malcolm, Craig, Frank, Kyle, Wynona (Margaret), Lennox, Job (Real Sociedad, Spain), Stanley, Oduru, Nadia, Chogo, Giovanna, Malik, Shanelle, Hazel, Shirleen, Denzel, Kitan, and Lorreta. Great Grandmother to Jammie, Casey,Waylen, Bradley, Mark and Kayden.

Aunt to First Lady Sharon Wandayi, Billy, Beatrice, Lucy, Chelsea, Celine,Yvonne, and many more.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily in Nairobi (Obama, Umoja and Karen), and in Homabay, Kanyadoto, Gingo.

There will be a fundraising meeting on Monday, 17th July 2023 at All Saints Cathedral from 4.00pm.

The cortege leaves Kobodo, Manyata Hospital Mortuary on Thursday for a Church service at Ebenezer Church, Rapedhi led by Bishop Samuel Orieny. Burial service will be held on Friday, 21st July 2023 at her home in Gingo village Kanyadoto, Homa Bay County.
