It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the passing of our beloved Joanes Ombwori Onyambu, on 20th July, 2023 at Coptic Hospital.

Son of the late Sebastian Onyambu and the late Turusillah Bironga Kwamboka. Step-son of the late Priskah Onyambu and the late Faustina Onyambu.

Brother to the late Priskah Moraa, the late Pasikaliah Kerubo, Alice Nyanchama, Christine Kemunto, Barnabas Mwamba, Eunice Obonyo, Elizabeth Onyambu, Jane Gesare. Step-brother to the late Nahason Onyambu, Moseti Onyambu, Monyangi Onyambu and Nyamboba, among others.

Loving husband to Mary Basweti Ombwori. Father to Evans Mosigisi, Gladys Kemunto Kamanga, Dennis Otero and Faith Kwamboka. Father-in-law to Benjamin Kamanga and Rose Adhiambo. Grandfather to Sylvia Kamanga, Eric Kamanga, Amy Kamanga, Richard Onyambu, Yvonne Kwamboka, Sydney and Ella.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Muselele, Joska, along Kangundo Road.

The main harambee will be held on Thursday 27th July, 2023 at All Saints Cathedral – Nairobi from 5.00pm to defray medical bills and funeral costs.
