MWALIMU RUTH WANJIKU GATTIMU

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of mwalimu Mrs. Ruth Wanjiku Gattimu, on Wednesday 19th July, 2023.

Daughter to the late Douglas Gachamba and the late Rahab Wanjiru.

Wife of the late Mr. Dennis Muchiri Gattimu.

Sister to Bedan Kahuthia, the late Peter Kariuki, Virginia Njoki, Moffat Kang’ethe, the late Paul Kamau, Kellen Nyambura, Joyce Muthoni, Francis Chege and the late Dr. Charles Mwangi.

Mother to Fr. James Kinuthia, Veronica Wanjiru, Agnes Kabithe, Theresa Wambui and Paul Kuria. Loving Grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be requiem masses on Wednesday 26th July, 2023 at 3.00pm at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, at her home parish inside Old Racecourse Kariakor, and on Thursday 27th July, 2023 at 2.00pm at St. Dominic Savio Catholic Church – Mwiki, just past Kasarani.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral funeral home (Bypass) on Friday 28th July, 2023 at 8.00am for the funeral service at 10.00am at Ruchu Catholic Church – Kamurugu, Kandara. Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at her home in Kihoni, Gakarara.
