MZEE DANIEL OBUYA MOGONDO (BABU)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the Obuya Family announce the passing on of Mzee Daniel Obuya Mogondo (Babu) of Rangenyo Village, Nyamira County which occurred on 31 July 2023 after an illness bravely borne.

Son to the late Mogondo Orang’o and the late Kwamboka. Step-son to the late Kerubo. Son- in-law to the late Osebe Nyarondia and the late Kemunto and Mogecho. Nephew to the late Mokoyo Orang’o.

Beloved husband to the late Mama Esther Moraa Obuya. Loving father to Agnes, Mark Obuya, Rose, Norah,Anne, the late Jane, Jane, Gladys, Margaret Obuya, the late Trusillah and Martin. Father-in-law to the late Mochiemo, Eleanor, Ongwae, Onyinkwa, Onyancha, Nyonga and Njoki.

Brother to Nyoenda, Nyambeki, Nyauma, Rori, Jeriah, Lucia, Teresia, and Priscillah (all deceased). B

rother-in-law to Nyaneti, Kerebi, Minsari, Nyarondia, Bosibori, Joma, the late Anderea, Tom among others. He was a cherished cousin, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather to many.

Family and friends are having a final planning meeting on Tuesday, 8th August, 2023 at Nairobi Club from 5.00pm.

The cortege will leave Arch – Angel Funeral Home, Kebirigo on Thursday, 10th August, 2023 at 2.00pm for a prayer service at Rangenyo Catholic Church. The Funeral Service will be held at Rangenyo Catholic Church grounds, on Friday, 11th August, 2023 followed by interment at his home in Rangenyo Village.
