JACOB OCHINO OGUNDO

We announce the death of Mr. Jacob Ochino Ogundo of East Uyoma Katweng’a in Siaya County. Mr. Ochino passed away on the 31st July, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

He is a former COTU Deputy Secretary General and also former Secretary General of Kenya Petroleum and Allied Workers Union. Mr. Ochino also once served as a Councillor in Jerusalem.

He has left behind his two wives Margaret Ochino and Jane Ochino. His children are; Allan, Jeconiah, Rodgers, Dickens, Oscar, Ben, Kevin, Kerry, Monica, Desmond, his now dead children Capt. Ochieng’, Faith, Susan, Sylvia, Caroline, Lilian and the late Churchill.

His only living brother and sister are Mr. Onyuka and Ms.Tabitha as his other siblings had also passed on. That is, Mr. Olang’o, Mr. Oyaro, Mr. Otumba, Mr. Ouko, Mr. Oyieko, Mr. Osiki, Mr. Malindi, his sisters Margaret, and Elizabeth.

He is survived with 34 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing.

The burial will be held on the 12th August, 2023 – East Uyoma, Siaya County.
