We regret to announce the sad demise of Francis Desta Makonnen on Saturday 19th August 2023.
Frank, as he is fondly known, is husband to Nancy Mukuhi Makonnen.
Loving father of Sheila Nyaguthi Makonnen, Michael Ngure Makonnen and Tashome Tharau Makonnen.
He is the son of the late Mr. Michael Makonnen & the late Mrs Mary Nyagethi Makonnen of Meru and son-in-law to the late Mr Edward Ngure Tharau and the late Mrs Grace Watiri Ndung’u.
His siblings are the late Solomon, Tony, late Markos, late Joseph, late Peter and David. His sisters-in-law are Catherine, Ekra, Mary, Kaigongi, Halima and Njeri.
Frank is also a Brother-in-law to Mr & Mrs Kabaikü, Mr & Mrs Njoroge Ngina, Mr & Mrs Ndungu,
Mrs Alice Njagi and Tharao.

The cortège will leave Montezuma Funeral Home for Meru on Thursday 24th August 2023 at 6 am. Funeral Mass will be held at Consolata Church Meru, from 11 am, and burial thereafter in Kirua, Meru.
