COLLINS ODIMO KWALA

We are saddened to announce the untimely death of our treasured freelance videographer and Organizing Secretary of Gor Mahia – Umoja Branch, Mr. Collins Odimo Kwala. Collins Odimo Kwala died in a grisly road accident on Friday September 8th, 2023 in Londiani on his way to Kisumu.

Collins Kwala, popularly known as Collo Kwala or “Mhesh” for Mheshimiwa, was the son of the late Julius Odimo Kwala and Molly Adhiambo Odimo of Rusinga Island, Kaswanga, Gunda.

Colly leaves behind a wife, Fenny Omollo, and daughter Caren Adoyo, Highridge Girls – Nairobi.

Colly was the brother to Mercy Kwala.

He was an uncle to Mich Mor Dede and Divine Marina Dede.

He was the brother-in-law to Kevin Dede Olalo of Toronto, Canada.

He was the nephew of Japan Kwala, the late Asewe Ulalo, Caesar Olela Kwala, Rose Ojijo, the late Ruth Ngore, the late Raphael Kwala Owuor, Fredrick Adede of Poughkeepsie, New York, Caren Gaga of Wappingers Falls, New York, Lillian Ogoye of Poughkeepsie, New York, Elizabeth Kwala and many others.

Golly was a cousin to Sarah Kwala, Udi Kwala, Brian Kwala, Lorraine Kwala and Vivian Kwala, Hillary Kwala, Evans Caltex, Biko Caltex, Abade Ulalo, Abby Josiah, Roseline Gaga, Christine Adede, Justin Gaga, Eric, Everlyne, Daisy, Nancy Ojijo, Clinton, Duncan, Leah, Quinter, Daisy, Olivia and many more.

The late Collins Odimo’s remains are at Montezuma Funeral Home in Nairobi.

There shall be a major fundraising at City hall / Charter Hall on Thursday September 21st, 2023. Well wishers can channel their contributions through Pay-bill No. 542542, ACC No.: 301811,.

A requiem service shall also be conducted in Umoja 2 on Wednesday September 27th, 2023.

The cortege is scheduled to leave Nairobi on Thursday September 28th, 2023 for burial. Collins Odimo Kwala shall be laid to rest on Friday September 29th, 2023 at his home in Gunda Village, Kaswanga in Rusinga Island, Homa Bay County.

Friends and family are meeting daily for funeral arrangements at his Umoja 2 residence in Nairobi.
