BERNADETTE KWAMBOKA OMANGA “MATHEE”

1st January, 1957 – 2nd October, 2023

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Bernadette Kwamboka Omanga, on 2nd October 2023 in Kitengela, Kajiado County. Born in Bonyagatanyi, Kisii County in 1957, Bernadette led a life filled with compassion love and dedication. She was a person of detail, a beacon of strength for our family, always putting others before herself.

Bernadette is survived by her husband Mzee Lucas Omanga Onsombi, formerly of East African Portland Cement Co. Ltd, her children; Eric Okondo of Business Clinic ltd, Robert Kerini (Snoop), Wilfred Orangi (Nana), Beatrice Nyamisa (Soso), Peter Onsombi (Pish) of Be Energy Ltd, Francis Ongeri (Nick), Kevin Ombaso of Enkasiti Primary Jackline Kwamboka of OLA Kitengela and Florence Bonareri (Pinni) of Kisii County.

Mother in law to Sylvia Okondo of RVI, Ann Kerini, Metrine Orangi and Sylvia Onsombi of KEMSA.

Grandmother to Adalia, Nikki, Mitxel, Joy, Aaron, Mikaela, Minka and Naphtali.

She was daughter of the late Mzee Patrick Okondo and Mama Leonora Nyangige.

In law to the late Mzee Peter Onsombi and the late Mama Pacifica Nyamisa. Sister in law to the late Ogoro, the late Nyandege, the late Ogwoka, the late Mayora and the late Florence Queen Moibori Omwabo the late Kemunto Ogoro, Teressa Nyandege, the late Moraa Ogwoka and Priscilla Mayora.

Sister to Ambrose Maisiba, Fransesca Kemunto, Benjamin Moraro, Pst. Gabriel Onsongo, Mary Moraa,Teresa Mokeira and Tom Okondo.

Sister in law to Florence Maisiba, the late Phillip Motari, Rael Moraro, Jane Onsongo, Otondi, Nyabuto Matara and Beatrice Okondo. Aunt and grandmother to many.

Our family extends deep gratitude to Purity, Doris and Anna her home nursing team and the nurses and staff at Nairobi West Hospital – Kitengela for their compassion and support during our mother’s final days.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday 13th October 2023 at her home in Kisii South, lgonga division, Bomariba Location – lkorora. Please join us in celebrating and remembering the beautiful life of “Mathee” Bernadette Kwamboka Oinanga.
