It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the promotion to glory of Mama Catherine Nambande Ong’weni on Friday 3rd November 2023 at Pessi Medical Centre Busia.

Daughter to the late Kabeti Agunda Ng’ong’a and the late Jacinta Wahu.

Loving wife to the late Mzee Mathais Ong’weni. Mother to Mulombi, Brig (Rtd) Sirera and WOII Okumu (KDF). Step-mother to the late Mulombi, Munda, Oduodi and Mande. Mother-in-law to Elizabeth, Dr. Sirera (KU), Fridah and Akoth. Aunty to many.

Grandmother to Edmund, Brian, Chris, Lorna, Wilfrida, Morine, Betty, Evans, Pauline, Ouma, Faddy, Selina, Gladys, Augustine and Angel among others and Great Grandmother to 27 great grandchildren.

The cortege will leave Butula Mission Hospital Mortuary on Friday 17 November 2023 at 09:30am. The burial will take place on Saturday 18th November 2023 at 12:30 pm at her home in Kingandole Village, Kingandole Sub Location, Marachi Central Location, Butula Sub-County, Busia County.
