It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Joram Mburu Maina of Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).

Son of Johnson Njuguna Maina and Veronicah Wangari Maina of Mahiga Village, Mweiga Location, Nyeri County. Son-in-law to Joseph Irungu and Lucy Wambui of Mukaro Location, Nyeri County.

Beloved husband to Pauline Muthoni Mburu (Kenya Airways Plc). Father to Abigael Wangari, Shanice Wambui and Austin Maina.

Brother to Richard Ngunjiri (Nairobi), Joyce Wachuka (Nyahururu), Josephat & Wacu Gachukia (Nairobi), Zipporah Njambi (TSC) and Angela Njeri (Kimondo Gachoka & Co Advocates).

Brother-in-law to Bro Patrick (Romania), Richard Irungu (USA), Hellen Irungu (USA), Grace Wangui (Nyeri), Joyce Nyawira (Nyeri), Erick Ngatia (Nyeri) and James Wamathai (Nyeri).

A grandson to the late Josphat Gachukia and Zipporah Njambi, the late Dadson Ngunjiri and Josephine Wacuka Ngunjiri. Nephew to Peter Nderitu (Mahiga), John Mwangi (Mahiga), Kamakia Ngunjiri (01 Kalou), Margaret Waniiru (Tetu), the late Michael Thuo, the late Ann Wangui and Fred Ngunjiri (Axis Architects), the late Joram Mburu aenem Coffee), Esther Wanjiku (Moto), Bilha Wangari (Moto), Hannah Gathigi (Miharati), Sammy Watari (Kagio) and Miriam Njeri (Kagio). Uncle, Cousin and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting at Nyayo Estate Embakasi – Nairobi and Mahiga Village, Mweiga, Nyeri County.

A requiem mass will be held on Thursday 23rd November at SMHC Don Bosco Catholic Church, Upper Hill – Nairobi at 10:00 am.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary (Thika Road) on 28th November, 2023 at 7:00 am for the funeral mass which will take place at Mahiga Hope Secondary School, Mahiga Village, Mweiga Location, Nyeri County from 11:00 am. The burial will take place thereafter at the family home.
