It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the sudden passing of Mrs. Alice Muhonja Ong’ai on Saturday, 11/11/2023.

Daughter of the late Jotham and the late Ezina Angweye.

Wife of Abel Ong’ai Okaka. Mother of Kevin Ong’ai and Sylvia Owasi. Mother-in-law to James Mutai. Grandmother to Ida and Ayla Mutai.

Sister of the late Priscilla Madahana, the late Hellen Vikiru, the late Zillah Musera, Herman Mwugusi, the late James Asena, Albert Amugune and Margaret Anemba. Step-sister to Gavunji, Stanley, Beatrice and Caleb.

Sister-in-law to David, Robert, Kennedy, the late Jackson, the late Joseph, Rhoda,Tom, Jesse, the late Elphas and Daina.Aunty and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Matende Village, Kakamega County.

There will be a memorial and fundraising service on Monday, 27/11/2023 at 2.00pm at Matende.

The cortege leaves Kakamega Parlour on Tuesday, 28/11/2023 at 8.00am for a funeral mass at ACK Maseno North Diocese (Milimani Parish). The burial will take place on Wednesday 29/11/2023 at the family farm at Ebusembe Mukhungu Village, Emuhaya Sub-County,Vihiga County.
