ELIUD AVUGWI LUSENO

1951 ~ 2023

We regret to announce the passing on of Mr. Eliud Avugwi Luseno, that occurred at St. Luke’s Hospital – Eldoret on 26 November, 2023 after a brave fight with cancer.

He was the son of the late Japheth Avugwi Luseno & the late Mama Margaret Avugwi. Son-in- law to the late Mzee Festus Cheni & the late Mama Esnas Jahenda.

He was the loving husband to Gladys Luseno. Father to Betty Luseno Ndunda, the late Avugwi, Elizabeth Luseno, Kavulani Luseno, the late Evans and Maggie Luseno. He was a father-in-law to the late Simon Ndunda. Loving grandfather to Ruth, Hope, Liam, Trisha, Dorcas, Kea & Marlon.

He was a brother to Aggrey & Marie Luseno, Grace & Dr, Richard Wambwa, the late Gladys Ritho, Peter & the late Epiness Luseno, the late Sam & the’late Loi Asiligwa, the late Eric & the late Florence Kea, Harriet Luseno, the late Major Leonard Luseno, Lynette Kidimu & the late Paul Kidimu, Col.Douglas & Njambi Mudave, Beeson & Jane Avugwi, Col. Dr. Charles & Agnes Luseno.

He was an in-law to the Cheni family, a loving uncle to many, a cousin and nephew to Dr & Prof. Kadenyi’s family, The Kisia family, the Kilaya’s family Adamba’s family, Migaili’s family, Kaleha’s family, Marita’s family, Mugese’s family, The Aluvale’s amongst many others. He was a friend to many and a staunch quarkerman.

The cortege will leave Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on 9 December, 2023 and burial will take place in his home in Sabatia Vihiga County on 11th December, 2023.
