PASTOR JOHNSON NDIRA

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Baba, Pastor Johnson Ndira, who rested peacefully on Thursday 23rd, November 2023.

He was the son of the late Mzee Nicholas Nyamatho and Mama Rosalia Ochuonyo of Magunga, Gwassi, and stepson to Margaret Nyamatho.

He was husband to the late Mama Joyce Akumu Ayayo-Ndira, and Zipporah Odhiambo. Loving father to Jane Ndira-Aduke (Koselle), the late Dave Ndira, Dr Mary Ndira-Otieno (UK), Ms. Alice Ndira (Nairobi), Mrs. Asenath Ndira-Oyoo (Nairobi), Ms. Lynnette Ndira (UK), Mr. Joseph Ndira (Migori), Ms. Roselyn Ndira (USA).

He was brother to the late Joseph Onyango, Stephen Obondo, Michael Omollo, Margaret Nyamatho, Benard Odongo, Peter Ogongo, Meresa Nyamatho, Elsa Nyamatho and Silpa Nyamatho.

He was son-in-law to the late Pastor Silfano and the late Asenath Ayayo & the late Esther Ayayo, the late Dan & the late Dina Odhiambo.

And grandson to the late Mzee Ochuonyo of Sori, Karungu.

Father-in-law to the late Architect Elijah Aduke, Damarice Ndira, George Okoko, Dr. Sammy K’Opiyo and Millicent Awiti.

Brother-in-law to the late Pastor Tobias & the late Mama Rosebella Ayayo, the late Prof ABC & late Mama Christina Ayayo,tthe late Amos & the late Mama Nereah Ayayo, Mania Beldine Ayayo and the late Mama Loyce Nyangolo Ayayo, Mama Monica Onyango, Mama Valerie Obondo, Mama Emily Omollo, Mama Rose & Rose Odongo, Mrs Ogongo.

Grandfather to James Aduke, Pennina Aduke, Joyce & Victor Odero, Amos Aduke, Joy Ndira, Jewel Ndira & Jazmine Ndira, Edwin Okoko & Beryl Okoko, Miriam Oyoo, Esther Oyoo, Johnson Oyoo & Jake Oyoo, Ian Ndira & Johnny Ndira, Natalie Joy. Great grandfather to Heru, Teko, Maria and Maya.

Nyawana to the late James and Peninah Aduke, the late Ayub and Belly Okoko, the late Mzee & the late Mrs Jeckonia Opiyo Ranyuongi, Governor & Mrs Cyprian Awiti, Mr and the late Mrs Elisha Ouko.

The cortege will leave Ombo Mission Hospital, Migori on Sunday, 17th December. Burial will take place on Monday 18th December at his home in Nyandema Village, Nyatike Sub-County Migori County.
