ESTHER WAMBUI GIKANDI

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved Esther
Wambui Gikandi which occurred on 31st Dec 2023.

Esther was a daughter of the late James Nduhiu and Agnes Gathoni and daughter-in-law of the late Mr and Mrs Pharis Karogo from Giakaibei.

She was the wife of the late Willord Freeman Gikandi, loving Mother to Lydia Wandia, Patrick Karogo, Dennis and
Carole Omondi, and Duncan and Fridah Nduhiu.

She was a beloved sister to Simon Macharia, the late James Wanjohi, Millicent Wanjiru, Anthony Mwotia, and the late Jackson Wamae.

She was a sister-in-law to Monica Wanjohi, late Millicent Wamae, the late Julius Gatheru, Nancy Munyua, Grace Karogo, Gladys Wairimu, Susan Kirigo, the Late Ruguru, Rose Thuguri, Dr. Mercy Karogo, Erastus Kibanya, Julia
Wamuyu Ngari, Beatrice Wanjiku Karugu and the late Hutchinson Wahome.

Grandmother to Trevor, Kara, Ethan, Wanyara, Gikandi, Nkatha, and many others as well as a cherished cousin, aunty and friend to many.

Prayers are being held daily at her home in Buruburu Ph 2, Kiptimin court from 5.00pm to 7.30pm and from 4.00pm on Sunday. Prayers are also being held at her home in Kaharo Village, Giakaibei Sub-Location from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

Esther’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, 9th January 2024. The cortege will depart Montezuma Funeral Home, off Mbagathi Road, at 8:00am. The funeral service will be held at PCEA — Kanjuri Church from 11am and thereafter the
burial will take place at her home in Kaharo Village, Giakaibei Sub-Location, Gathehu Location, Mathira East Sub-County, Nyeri County.
