it is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Lilian Cheboagui Maiyo which occurred on 19th January 2024 at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County after a short illness.

The late Lilian Cheboagui Maiyo was daughter to the late Kimuge Arap Chemunun Kapbelio and the late Salina Jemaiyo (Chebo Cheres) and wife to the late Kimaiyo arap Lagat. The late was Co-Wife to the late Paulina Telo.

She was mother to the late Daniel Kipkering Maiyo, Emily Jeptoo Mursoi, the late Stephen Cheruiyot Maiyo, Sally Sawe (Kosachei Primary), Alice Jeptanui (Sugoi Girls), Joseph Maiyo, Marsellah Bitok, William Chumo, Esther Kosgei, Gilbert Rono, Mary Jeptum, Christine Koech and Paul Maiyo.

Sister to the late Sorin arap Muge, Leah Chelel Korir, the late Bot Kesendany, Chenwach, the late Arap Mengich, the late arap Singoei, the late Arap Lagat, Kibungei and the late Sundu.

Mother-in-law to Mary Maiyo, the late Daniel Mursoi, Priscah Maiyo, Peter Sawe, Leah Maiyo, the late Isack Bitok, Elizabeth Chumo, Aron Kosgei, Hellen Rono and Henry Koech.

Sister-in-law to the late Chebet Bot Chepkering, the late Kiprono arap Lagat, the late Kipng’etich arap Rono, the late Chepkirong (Bot Meresei), the late Kiptarus arap Chumo and the late Kipketer arapNg’isirei.

She was also a grandmother to Susan, Enock, Ezra, Evans (Equity Bank), Sophy (UK), Stellah, Rebecca, Naum, Samson, Jepkorir (MKU), Kipkemei, Elisha (National Police Service), Kiptoo (Kosachei Secondary), Cyrus, Elvis (Zep-Re), Abigael, Kelvin (Australia), Egla (KCA University), Lamech, Nicodemus, Nordia (Safaricom), Kipkirui, Kiplagat (Eldoret Ploytechnic) and Eli.

Great grandmother to Chebet, Chero, Natalia, Jason, Jesse, Janice, lvyiana, Ryan, Reagan, Rency, Elsie, Eleen, Elinah, Ella, Elvis, Joylah, Evans, Fred, Kimberly, Sherlene, Stephanie, Kyle, Kipchumba, Kimutai, Sheryl, Eileen, Edith, Avian, Chloe, Stacy and Tracy. Beloved Mum and friend to many.

The cortege leaves Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary, Eldoret on Thursday 25th January 2024 for the burial which will be held on Friday 26th January 2024 at her home in Kosachei Village, Sugoi Location,Turbo Sub-County in Uasin Gishu County.
