It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our family Matriarch Elizabeth Wamaitha Ndegwa (Wakiguta) of Gichira, Aguthi Ward, Tetu, Nyeri County.

Daughter to the late Kiguta and the late Gachoki.

Wife to the late Ndegwa Wangenye. Co-wife to the late Lucy Wanjiru.

Mother to David Nderitu, Muthoni, Nyaruai, Gichini, Kabira, Mutahi, Wanjiru, Gakuru, Waruru Ndegwa (Ndava), Gichuki, the late Esther Murugi, Margaret, Maina, Beatrice and Pauline.

Mother in law to Waceke Kabira, Mary Gakuru, Wanjiku Gichini, Eva Maina and the late Wanjugu Nderitu.

Sister to Gakuru, Wakini, the late Gichini, Kabira and Wanjiru.

Great aunt to the late Nyeri Governor Hon. Wahome Gakuru.

Grandmother to Waruru, Wanjiru, Murugi, Wamuyu, Wangare, G.G. Wanjiru, Waihuini, Nyaguthii, Monica, Jennifer, Muriithi, among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her Gichira Home starting at 4.00pm and at Shabeen Hotel – Nyeri for prayers and funeral arrangements.
