PHILIP MUKUI KIMATA (BIRIBO)

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Philip Mukui Kimata (Biribo) of Gatundu South, Kirangi Sub-location, Gatimu village.

Son of the late Kimata Mukui and the late Jane Njeri (Wachihi) and son-in-law of the late Njoroge Gatiba and the late Emily Nieri.

Loving husband of Lucy Nyambura Mukui and father of Liz Mukui,Anne & Edwin Ronoh, Dr. Irene Mukui, Roselyne & Stephen Neg’anga, Eunice Wira, Caroline Njeri, the late Barnabas Kimata, Isaac & Beth Njoroge, and Winfred Wambui.

Grandfather of Joan, Chrsitine, Victor, Matthew, Andrew, Jemimah, Catherine, Amari, Maria, Charity, Michael, Angela, Chemutai, Cherop, Abigail, Chebet and Flavian.

Brother of the late Eunice Wira and the late Njahira and half-brother of Dominic, the late Josephat, the late David, the late Wallace, the late Kihika, the late Mworia, the late Ngumba, the late Clement, the late Fridah, Njahira, and the late Muriu.

Uncle of Mbugua Kiritu, Sammy Kimata, Patrick Kimata, Dr. Paul Kimata, Fr .Mathe, Wanja Kanyoro, Daniel Warui Dr. John Mworia, Dr. Paul Mworia, Kimata Ngumba, Maria Kimata, Waithaka Mukui, Kimata Kinyanjui, Kimata Gachaga, and many others.

He was the brother-in-law of Martin, Richard, Wanjiru, Sophia, Prof. Njoroge, Waithaka and Eliza.

Family and friends will be meeting at Holy Family Basilica in Nairobi on Monday, 1st April 2024 at 5:00pm and daily at his home in Gatimu.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University (K.U) Funeral Home on Thika Road on Tuesday 2/4/2024 at 7.00am.
The funeral service will take place at St.Joseph Mutunguru Catholic Church at 10:00 am and thereafter interment at his home in Kirangi, Gatimu.
