UNCLE SIMON YOUNG ELDER

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Simon Gisore Omboga on May 28, 2024, at Kenyatta National Hospital, Nairobi, after a short illness.

Beloved son of David Konrad Omboga Nyachieo and Janet Mammy Omboga.

Cherished brother of Patrick Manyara Omboga and Joseph Nyagonchonga Omboga.

Loving brother-in-law of Maryanne and Noelle, and an adored Uncle of Jaden Joel and Baby Amelia Joy.

Nephew of the late Stanley Onsomu Nyachieo, the late Joseph Nyambega, Charles Momanyi, John Nyachieo (USA), Bishop Daniel Kaloki, the Late Major Muli Malombe, Bishop David Malombe, Bishop John Malombe, Nicholas Wambua, Anthony Masila, Dr. Florence Makindi, Miriam Ndanu, Doreen Kambua, Susan Malombe, Eunice Kaswii, Mary Muthini and Aunties Mary, Stella, Flora, Loise Nyanchoka and Loise from Ikonge Nyamira among others.

Cousin of Clive Nyachieo, Stella Moeche, Felistus Kerubo, George Makindi, Victoria Mwikali, Kavata, Sweetie Muli, Mweni Muli, Chris Mwendwa, Nicole Njenga among others.

Simon was the founder of the ICON Project-Women and Children, an organization dedicated to supporting the less fortunate, persons living with disabilities, and those in marginalized areas. The charity also focused on providing access to education for individuals in these communities.

A requiem Mass will take place on June 12, 2024, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Shrine in Karen, starting from 10.00 a.m. followed by burial thereafter at the Langata Cemetery,Nairobi.

Meetings are being held at St. Andrew’s Parish, Nyerere Road from 5:30 – 7.30p.m, culminating with a funds drive on Friday 7th June 2024.
