TOM TIMOTHY MBOYA ADALA

It is with deep sorrow that we the Adala Otuko Family announce the sudden passing of our beloved Tom Timothy Mboya Adala, who was an Assistant Director, National Intelligence Service (NIS).

He was the son of the late Ker Fanuel AdalaOtuko, Who was Kenya’s first Ambassador to the Soviet Union and the late Margaret Alice Adala and step-son of the late Margaret Omole.

He was nephew of the late Felecia Abunge Okeno, the late Gladys Oluande, the late Jacob Oyoo Otieno and Joyce Atieno.

He was the Husband of Habiba Seby. Father of Seby Otuko Adala, Arafa Atieno Adala and Arafa (Big) Seby.

He was Brother of the late Jomo Adala Dr. Anne Atieno Adala, John Owimba Adala, Bishop Caroline Oremo, Agnes Akinyi Openda, Rosemary May Adala and Pauline Adala (USA), Roselyne Athieno, Alice Adala, the late George Ochieng, the late Fredrick Opondo Adala, Norah Adala-Otuko (Sweden), Pamela Adhiambo Adala (US), the late Kwame Adala, Belinda Adala (UK), James Otieno Adala (US), and George Ochieng Adala and Norah Craemer.

He was Uncle of Francis Oduor Oduol (Mzee), Widi Ochieng Oremo, Andrew Ramogi Oremo, Valerie Achieng Oluande, Elia Otieno, Patrick Adala Otuko, Caroline Opiyo, James Odhiambo, Ben Otuko, Jacqueline Awuor (Canada), Andrew Otieno (US), Roy Omondi (US), Brian Ochieng, Brenda Odingo, Bertha Odingo and others.

He was Brother-in-Law of George Oremo, Noel Openda and Maj. Gen. Fatuma Ahmed. He was Cousin of Judith Okeno (UK), Elizabeth Jowi (US), Karen Okeno (UK) the late Rosemary Okeno, the late Victor Okeno, Eric Okeno (Australia), Anthony Okeno, Isabel Onyango, Dorothy Obare Onyango (CEO-WOFAK), Major General (Rtd). Amb. George Owinoh, Allan Argwings Kodhek, Owino Sewe, Washington Sewe, the late Caroline Omengo, James Agola, Richard Okello, Jane Otuko, John Oduor Lijera, and from the wider K’Oyoo family Israel Agina, Idah Odinga and others.

His body is lying at the Lee Funeral Home.There will be a fundraiser at All Saints Cathedral on Monday 10th June 2024 at 5.00 pm. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Cathedral on 13th June 2024 at 12.00 noon. The Cortege will leave for Muhoroni on Friday 14th June 2024.

He will be laid to rest at 02:00 PM on Saturday 15th June 2024 at Got Owaga, Koru sub-location, Muhoroni, Kisumu, County.

Tom had friends from all walks of life and was greatly loved by many, young and old, rich and poor alike.
