AGNES WAIRIMU MWANIKI (MAMA WAITHAKA)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Agnes Wairimu Mwaniki (mama Waithaka) of Kahawa Sukari Estate, Nairobi which occurred on 6th June 2024 at the Nairobi west hospital after a long illness bravely borne.

She was the daughter of the late Harrison Muriithi and the late Priscah Kagure of Gakindu, Mukurweini, Nyeri County.

She was the loving wife to Samuel Mwaniki Waithaka –Chairman Ruiru Municipality Board and Kahawa Sukari Welfare Association.

Dearest mum to Nahashon Waithaka, Naomi Wangari, Harrison Muriithi, Crispus Maina & Annabel Njoki Maina. Doting grandmother to Niki, Nimo, Jayden, Elsie, Paige, Phoebe and Pierre.

Sister to the late David Murage Muriithi & Loise Wanjiru Murage (USA), Sammy Ndegwa & Josephine Wairimu Ndegwa,(Kariobangi South) the late Anthony Mwangi & Lydia Njeri Mwangi,(Gakindu) the late Ephantus Muriuki Muriithi and the late Stephen Ndereba Muriithi & Aidah Muthoni Ndereba.

Sister in love to Mr. & Mrs. F.K. Nyamu (Kairo), Mr & Mrs. Crispus Maina (Kiria), Mr. & Mrs. Mathenge (Mairo), Mr, & Mrs. E. Ndegwa (Gikambura), Mr. & Mrs. Jason Kabene (Iganjo), Mr. & Mrs. Charles Wahome (Iganjo, Wahundura) and the late Joyce Njeri.

She was a loving cousin and auntie to the Waithakas, Muriithis, Githuas and Warugurus.

Family and friends are meeting at her home at Kahawa Sukari residence and at her rural home in Kiria wahundura from 5pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

A memorial service and a fundraiser will be held on Wednesday 12th June 2024 at 2pm at ACK St.Peters Church Kahawa Sukari. Contributions can be sent to Paybill No. 6711008, Account No.(indicate your name).

The cortege leaves the Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Mortuary, Thika Road at 7am on Saturday, 15th June 2024 , for a church service at ACK st. James kiria Church, and thereafter internment at her farm in Kiria Village, Wahundura, Muranga County.
