CHIEF INSPECTOR (RTD), DAVID KIPTOO YEGON (ROTICH)

We regret to announce the promotion to glory of Chief Inspector of Police (Rtd), David Kiptoo Yegon (Rotich), which occurred on Saturday, June 8 th, 2024, after a long illness bravely borne.

Beloved son of the late James Chepkwony and Dinah Chepkwony of Belgut, Kaptoboiti Location, Kapchereren Village, Kericho County. Husband of Dorothy Rotich. Father of Collins Too, Mercy Bett, Maureen Rotich, Dennis Too, Betty Chepkemoi, Judith Cherotich, and Fancy Chepkoech. Brother of Grace Sang, Erick Rotich, the late Johnstone Rotich, Jennifer Korir, Alex Rotich, Charles Rotich, Robinson Rotich, and Wilfred Rotich. He was a loving cousin and uncle to many.

Son-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Micah Samich. Father-in-law of Caroline Too, Ken Bett, and Leonard Rotich. Grandfather of Cheichei, Chepchumba, Cheruto, Chepkurui, Cheruiyot, Cindy, Chemu, Kibet, Tayo, and Jaison.

Nephew of the late Hon.Ayub Chepkwony, the late Mary Yator, the late Jonah Chepkwony, the late Anna Ng’eno, and the late Samson Chepkwony. Brother-in-law of Rhoda, Pamela, Janet, Nelly, Mercylyn, and Margaret. He was fondly known as “Chief” to many.

The funeral cortege leaves Siloam Hospital Mortuary, Kericho on Friday, June 21st, 2024, for a night vigil at his home.

The body will be laid to rest at home, Kaptoboiti Location (Kapchereren Village) on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024
