MRS MARY CHEPNGETICH (CHEBOO) SANG

We celebrate the life of our beloved Matriarch Mrs Mary Chepngetich (Cheboo) Sang of Kaitui Sub Location, Kericho County who went to be with the Lord peacefully on the morning of Thursday 27th June 2024 in our home.

Survived by her husband mr Stephen kiptonui sang of Kaitui Village and co-wife Mrs Jane Sang.

She was the first-born daughter of the late Kimeli Kitur (Arap Marindany) and the late Taprantich Kitur (Obot Cheboo), stepdaughter of the late Rael Kitur.

She was sister of Mrs Martha Kirior, the late Joseah Melly, Stanley Melly, Nelson Melly, Johnson Melly and Anna Tonui.

Stepsister of late David Melly, Sara Mursoi, Lily Ronoh, Late Esther Chepkirui, Priscila Kosgey, Jane Matingwony and Willy Melly.

Niece of the late Mengo and many others. Sister-in-law of Samwel Sang, Obot Chumo, Leah, Seily, Catherine, Rebecca, Caroline, Nancy, Flora, Evelyne and many others.

She was Aunty of many including Jaffred Mutai, Japhet Mutai, Jonah Langat, Prof Daudi Langat (Kansas, USA), Dr Robert Cheruiyot (KU), Donah Mwangi (Nairobi), Corazon Chebet (Kapsabet Girls) (KU), Sheila (Rwanda) and a cousin of many.

Loving mother of Dr Willy Tonui, Dr Patrick Tonui (UK), Dr Eric Tonui (Saudi Arabia), the late Mrs Lilian Siele, Mrs Beatrice Rutto, Dr Anette Terer (Kapkatet Hospital), Mrs Janet Koech (Nandi Farmers Sacco), Mrs Roselyne Cheruiyot (HJFMRI), Mrs Irene Chepkwony (Kinyose Primary) and the late Miss Gladys Chebet.

Stepmother of Collins Tonui (Nakuru), Mercy Cherono (Kessup Girls, Iten), Lorna Chepkemoi (PHDA, Nairobi) and Alvin Tonui (GCF, Nairobi).

The cortege will leave Siloam hospital at noon for a funeral service and overnight stay at home on Friday 5th July 2024.

The funeral and burial will take place on 6th July 2024 in Kaitui Village from 10am.
