DR.CHRISTOPHER WASIAYA ONYANGO

It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Dr.Christopher Wasiaya Onyango on 22 nd June, 2024.

He was a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Media and Communication, Multimedia University.

He was the son of Mzee Hezron Onyango and Mama Esther Okinda (both deceased) of Diriko Village, Kakamega County. Son-in-law of Mzee Frankline Andale and Mama Agneta Andale (both deceased) of Ebusikhale, Vihiga County, and Mzee Samuel Olwande and Mama Gertrude Olwande (both deceased) of Kasagam, Kisumu County.

Husband of Mrs Florah Andale and Mrs. Dorcas Atieno.

Father of Hezron Onyango, Esther Okinda, Samuel Ogonda, Alvin Okello and Gertrude Ombara. Brother of the Belinda Asewe, Margaret Odende, Emily Siera, the late Yunia Ombara and the late Makaka. Brother-in-law of Henry Osiru, Isaac Andale, Adda Andale, Samuel Omondi, Jacob Ochieng, George Onunga, Wycliffe Odhiambo, David Onyango and Lorna Olwande among others.

Uncle of Jairus Omollo, Maurice Ochieng, Sammy Manyasa, Wycliffe Oduor, Francis Amboka, Wycliffe Omollo, Kilo Okello, Akinyi, Violet, and Everlyn among others.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Thursday, 4th July 2024 for a memorial service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Kiserian and an overnight stay at his Kiserian home, Kajiado County.

The burial will be held on Saturday, 6th July, 2024 at his Diriko Village home, Khwisero Sub-County Kakamega County.
