DR. JEAN WAMAITHA KAGIA
The family of Joseph Kagia Njihia is sad to announce the passing on to glory of Dr. Jean Wamaitha Kagia on 5th July 2024.
Jean was the loving wife of Joseph Kagia Njihia, adoring mother of Mercy Wairimu and Tobias, Nicholas Njihia and Wanjiru, and doting grandmother of Mercy Wamaitha and Malaika Sophie.
She was the daughter of the late John Kanguru Githinji and the late Elisheba Wanjiru Kanguru, daughter-in-law of the late Evanson Njihia Kagia and the late Leah Wairimu Njihia.
She was sister of the late Col. (Rtd) Stephen Githinji, the late Wakarindi, Josiah Kiragu, Grace Njoki, Mathias Kimari, the late Esther Gathoni, Lucy Muriuki, David Mwangi and Orinan Kigondu;
sister-in-law of the late Njogu Njihia, Githiri Njihia, the late Johnson Gitau, Peter Ndungu, Lucy Wanjiku, Maryann Njeri Karanja, Godfrey Chege, and the late Rachael Mumbi.
She was treasured by her in-laws, extended family, friends, professional colleagues, church and neighbours.
Dr. Kagia was the founder and chair of the Pro-life Movement Trust and KIOTA Rescue Homes.
She was one of the founder members of the Christian Medical Fellowship of Kenya (CMF-K) and the Treasurer for the Institute of Family Medicine (INFA-MED).
She also served in many other capacities in her community.
Dr. Kagia will be laid to rest on Wednesday 24th July 2024.
The cortege will leave the Lee Funeral Home on the same day at 09:00am, for a funeral service at the Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road at 10:00am, followed by the laying to rest at the Langata Cemetery on the same day

R.I.P
