AUGUSTINE JOHN WAWERU GITAMA 

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Augustine John Waweru Gitama on Wednesday 10th July 2024 after an illness bravely borne.

He was the first-born son of the late Ernest Gitama Njurumba and the late Monicah Nyambura Kibera.

He is survived by his wife Lucy Wambui Waweru and children Boniface Kinyanjui and Tabitha Kanini, Josephine Wanjiru, the late Beatrice Nyambura, and the late George Gitama, Tabitha Mumbi and Paul Kimotho (Robson Harris Advocates), Ruth Muthoni (Municipal Manager-Gatundu Municipality), Kenneth Gitama (Qatar) and Robi Njeri (Qatar), Monicah Nyambura, Evelyn Njeri (Virtual & Appeal Studios) and Daniel Wanyoike.

He was brother of the late Joseph Kibera, the late Njeri Gitama, Grace Wanjiru and the late Edward Ngwiri and step brother to the late Isaac Njuguna, Francis Waweru, Agatha Njeri, the late John Kiragu, Ernest Karumba, Margaret Njoki and the late Martin Kagwa.

Son in law of the late Daniel Wanyoike Kariuki and the late Tabitha Mumbi Wanyoike from Githunguri.

Grandfather and great grandfather to many.

Requiem masses will be held at Kahugu-ini village, Gatundu South on Wednesday 17th July 2024 and Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dandora on Friday 19th July 2024.

The cortege leaves KU Referral Hospital Mortuary (KUTRRH) on Saturday, 20th July 2024 at 9.00am for burial at Thakwa, Kahugu-ini, Gatundu South, Kiambu County
