It’s with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Elsa Ajwang’ Amadi.

She was the daughter of the late Minyama Oyoo and the late Mama Deborah Angir of Kanyada, Wahambla Village.

She was the wife of the late Mzee Zedekiah Amadi of Kowili Kanyipir Location Rachuonyo North Homa Bay County.

Mother of Mike Amadi – USA, Addah Odok – USA, Grace Onyuna and Mikal Ayugi of Kibuye Kisumu, the late David O. K. Amadi, Senior Chief Israel Amadi, Solomon Amadi, Wilson Amadi, Helix Okoyo, Ezra Bwana, Adhiambo Adede among others.

Mother in law of Prof. Anne Atieno Amadi, Elizabeth Abbott Kade Amadi, Margaret Amadi, among others.

Sister of the late James Okumu and Auma min Tom. Aunty of the late Justus Okeyo, Beldine Oricho among others.

Beloved grandmother of The Amadi’s – Kevin, Jordan, Jobe, Keith, The Odok’s – Jane, Richard, Sam, Ken, The Onyuna’s – Kenneth, Millicent, Milton, The Ayugi’s – Debrah, and Zeddie, The Kade’s – Dorry, Carol, Grace, Lorreta, The Okeyo’s George, Berline and Lydiah, among others.

Great-grandmother of Candy, Kewi, Hawi, Kirrchoff, Nixon Richard among others.

The cortege leaves Kendu Mission Hospital Funeral Home on the 25th July 2024.

The burial ceremony will take place on the 26th July 2024 at her home in Kokendo Village Kanyipir under the leadership Pastor Dan Mwai of Kodhoch/ Ogwedhi SDA Church.
