MZEE JAPHETH ODHIAMBO OWUOR

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing on of our beloved Husband, Father, brother, uncle, cousin grandfather and great grandfather to many.

Japheth Odhiambo Owuor of Rusinga was the Chairman of Suba Lowlands Union (Mwalo Pinje Abich).

He worked as Regional Auditor, Western and Central Africa for USAID, Managing Director Kenya Times Media Trust Ltd, Financial Controller Oseibo Trading Co. Ltd, Former Chief Accountant Fosters Parents Plan International, Kenya Railways, and Sony Sugar, Geily and Roberts.

He passed on July 11.2024 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The late is survived by two wives, Martha Awino Odhiambo and Margaret Atieno Owuor.

He was the son of the late Mzee Josephat Owuor Adede and Mama Agnes Nyanjong Owuor of Kaswanga Rusinga -Homa Bay County. Step son of the late mama Nyangweso and Otiato Owuor.

The late Japheth Odhiambo was the father of Hellen Odhuno, Grace Owuor, Ruth Odhiambo, Samuel Ochieng, Late Risper Oyoo, Kennedy Odhiambo, Lilian Odhiambo, Dr. Linet Campbell, Dr. Roselyne Odhiambo, Robert Odhiambo, Beatrice Oremo, Thomas Odhiambo, Paul Odhiambo, Dorothy Odhiambo, George Odhiambo, Jackline Odhiambo, Ronald Odhiambo and Maureen Odhiambo.

He was brother of Rosa Kwala,Late Ceaser Okeyo, Late Grace Ojengo, Late Risper Atieno, Late Akoth, Jael Awuor, Zilpher Odira, Mary Oluoch, Margaret Achieng, Carre Auma, Jane Anyango, Phoebe Obondo, Rose Ojijo, Ceaser Olela, Caren Gaga, Late Elizabeth Ogweno, Grace Akinyi, Hellen Nyamburi, Kwala Owuor. Odira, Florence Aulo, Zilpher Opiyo, Fred Adede, Owino Owuor, Semekiah Owuor amongst others.

He was Cousin of Amos Kiche, Chief Wilson Odoyo. Ogweno and Benard Siro Nicholus Okinda, Moses Wakiaga, Justice Wakiaga, Okuku Sanga, Akinyi Jim Okoth, the late Ouma Sanga, Okinda Sanga,Anyango, Cholla. Nephew of the late Semekiah Wakiaga, Henry Okinda, Amisi Owuor, Sedekia Odoyo, Okeyo Siro.

Church Service will at Nairobi Central SDA Church [Maxwel] on 31st August 2024 at 9:00am, Burial will be on 2nd August 2024 at Rusinga Central, Kaswanga Village.
