PENNINAH NUNGARI KAMAKIRU (PENNY)

24th April 1974 – 29th July 2024

It is with profound sadness but with humble acceptance of God’s sovereign will that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Penninah Nungari Kamakiru (Penny) which occurred on 29 th July 2024, after a short illness, at the Luton Hospital, Nairobi.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Mrs.Mary Nyambura Kamakiru, a cherished sister of John Kimani and sister-in-law of Diana Kimani.

Penny was the beloved Auntie of Sean Kamakiru and Kelly Nyambura.

She was a beloved niece of Mrs. Wanjiku Gitahi, Mrs. Wanjiru Mwangi, the late Mr. Kiguongo Kimani, the late Mrs. Wangari Njoroge, the late Mr.Gatheca Kimani and Cousin of many.

Family members, friends and well-wishers are meeting at St. Andrew’s Church, Old Church, Nyerere Road on Friday 2 nd August Nairobi starting at 5:00 PM.

A prayer service will be held at her home in Jamhuri Estate Phase 1 on Saturday 3rd August 2024 and Sunday 4th August 2024 from 3:00 PM.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, 6th August 2024 from 9.00 AM, at St.Andrews PCEA Church, Nyerere Road following which she will be interred at her family home in Komothai, Githunguri in Kiambu County at 1:30PM.
