FRANCIS GITAU MUNGAI (F.G)

The family of the late Architect Francis Gitau Mungai (F.G), cordially invites Friends and colleagues to a memorial service to be held at the All Saints Cathedral Church for his memorial service on Friday 23rd August from 1:00 p.m.

We give thanks to the Almighty Father for the life and times he shared with us.

Though physically gone, you remain close to our hearts as an amazing husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, colleague and friend.

We hold beautiful memories of your leadership, wisdom, kindness, sense of humour, warmth and love for us.

Arch. Gitau Mungai was the beloved husband and best friend of Nancy Ruguru Gitau, dad of Mungai Dereshe Gitau, Nasha Wambui Gitau, Kariuki Irungu Gitau and brother of Peter Kuria Mungai, Charles Nguri Mungai, Andrew Nganga Mungai and the late David Njoroge Mungai, Mary Wanjiku Munga, Joseph King’atua Mungai, James Mbugua Mungai and Grace Njeri Waweru.

He was also a brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.

Arch. Gitau Mungai was the founding partner at Aaki Consultants.

He was a former Chairman of Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK), Former Chairman of Physical Infrastructure Board KEPSA, immediate former Chairman of Family Bank Board of Directors, former Senior Lecturer at the University of Nairobi, Former Member of Governing Council Presbyterian University of East Africa, Former Board Chairman National Housing Corporation, Former Chairman, Environmental Committee Runda Association, Former Chairman, Faculty Advisory Committee of Board of Finance, Diocese of Mt. Kenya South, Former Member of Standing Committee Synod, Mt. Kenya South Diocese, Former Vice President Africa Region Commonwealth Association of Architect (CAA) and Former Member of Education Board, (BORAQ).

Until we meet again, dear F.G, know that you are deeply missed, eternally loved, and never forgotten.
