MWALIMU GEORGE FREDRICK MUGERA WAWERU,

Born :15th April 1950 – Rested : 20th August 2024

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mwalimu George Fredrick Mugera Waweru, which occurred on Tuesday, 20th August 2024.

George was the loving husband of Margaret Njoki, devoted father of Caroline Wanjiru, Roselyn Wambui, and Francis Mugera, and father-in-law of Nyaruiru Ndungi and Stuart Gray.

He was a loving grandfather of Triciah Njeri, Kyle Kisanga and Thayu Mugera.

Son of the late Francis Waweru and the late Peris Wanjiru of Murang’a County.

Brother of Minnie Nyambura, the late D.T.Waweru, Cyrus Kibe, Perpetual Muthoni, Patrick Mungai, Grace Wairimu, Sophia Wanjiku, Lilly Wangari, the late Sarah Njeri and Hilda Waithera. 

Family and friends are gathering at Kariobangi South, 2nd Avenue, Jirani Court, from 6:00 P.M. daily.

A requiem mass will be held on Wednesday, 28th August 2024, at ACK The Hospitable Church, Kariobangi South, from 3:00 P.M.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) on 30th August 2024 at 7:00 A.M. for the funeral service at ACK Kihuruini St.John’s the Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M, thereafter burial will follow at his home in Karuuthi Village, Mariani Location, Kandara Constituency, Murang’a County.
