HON. SIMON NYAUNDI OGARI

It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s Will that we communicate the passing on of our legendary leader Hon. Simon Nyaundi Ogari in the wee hours of 10th September 2024, at his Karen Home.

As an astute Quantity Surveyor, Hon. Simon Ogari founded his own Consultancy and ascended through the profession to eventually serve as Chairman of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK).

He responded to the call of duty patriotically and the same was received enmass and he attained the seat in the legislature to represent the former larger Bomachoge and the later formed Bomachoge Chache constituencies.

Consequently, he rose to become an iconic Assistant Minister in three different Ministerial dockets, namely; Trade, Transport, Information & Communication.

Hon. Ogari was the son of the late Samuel Ogari Isinta and the late Mama Agnes Keene.

Loving husband of the late Rhoda Bitutu Kinanga. Adoring father of Dr. Edna, Christine, Eng. Anthony and Adv. Constantine. Devoted to his children with Pamela Kwamboka; Austin, Aidan and Tetta.

Father-in-law of the late Dedi Maganga and Victor Lumumba. Grandfather of Michelle, Gabriel, Nathan, Bitutu and Julia.

Sibling of Father Christopher Isinta of Transfiguration Parish of St.Anne, Dr. Rose Ngare, the late David Ondieki, Regina Mogeni, the late Consolata Nyamboba,Annuciata Kiriago, Gladys Nyauma and Eng. Eric Matwetwe.

Gracious nephew of the late Matwetwe, the late Nteng’a, the late Mogirango, the late Momanyi, the late Genchabe, Ndege and Sukuru.

Family and friends are gathering daily at his Karen residence for prayers.

There will be a main fundraising on Tuesday 17th September 2024 commencing from 5.00pm at the United Kenya Club, Mamlaka Road, Nairobi.

The cortege leaves the Lee Funeral Home on 19th September 2024 for interment at his Nyansara home, Sengera Location, Gucha District, Kisii County on the 20th September 2024
