LAY CANON FRANCIS KOECH CHEPLEL
It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Lay Canon Francis Koech Cheplel, NEC member, Kenya Red Cross Society (and Formerly Director Kenya Seed Company).
Son of the late Barnabas Marona Sang and the late Teresa Sang of KapCheplel, KapChemwan family of Chemnoet Village.
Husband of Dr. Sally Koech. Father of Joan Jepchumba, Judith Jerop, Dennis Koech and Jean Jerono. Beloved grandfather of Kiprop, Kiprotich, Kibet, Kiprono and Chelimo.
Brother of Mary Tuwei, David Cheplel, the late Julius Cheplel, Monica Maiyo, Kimutai Cheplel Chemwan, the late John Cheplel,Veronica Keter and Simeon Marona Cheplel.
Son in-law of Ludia Maiyo, Father in-law of Collins Leley and Philip Sitienei.
Uncle of Father Herman Cheplel and many others.
Relatives and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at his residence in Racecourse, Oletepes, Berur Drive Eldoret.
Fundraising to support funeral expenses will be held on Tuesday 1st October 2024 at St.Thomas ACK, Kamalel Racecourse from 2.00pm.
The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital mortuary on Thursday 3rd October 2024 at 8.30am for a requiem mass at ACK St. Matthews Cathedral and thereafter proceed to his home in Racecourse for an overnight vigil.
Funeral service will be held on 4th October 2024 at Eldoret ASK showground and later interment at his residence
