DR. JOHN KARANI OMUSE

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. John Karani Omuse, who departed this life on September 12, 2024, at Bungoma County Referral Hospital after a long illness.

He was born on January 9, 1946. Dr. Omuse was the son of the late Victor Osieta Karani (Ikimolo Clan) of Kamei Village and the late Mama Antoninah Amokola Karani (Ikatekok Clan) of Amaase Village.

Step-son of the late Salume Karani and Justine Imai Karani.

He is survived by his siblings: Simon Karani, Charles Karani, Gerald Osieta, Jackline Ikasewa, Patrick Emuu, and Benard Ekisa.

Dr. Omuse was the beloved husband of the late Lydia Ajilong Omuse, Consolata Anyango Omuse, and the late Florence Omuse.

Devoted father of Brenda Omuse, Edward Osieta, Duncan Oseni, Victor Anapo, Antoninah Amokola, George Waraya, Antoninah Karani, the late Elizabeth Ikasewa and Antonina Lyambila. A stepfather of Edward Angira, Dorah Okumu, Lindah Akinyi, and Mourine Awuor.

Cherished father- in-law of Allan Kute, Mary Jakait  seni, Novine Aapa Omuse, Ibrahim Mungai, and Eunice Chemutai Omuse. Grandfather and uncle to many.

Meetings are being held at All Saints Cathedral on 1st and 3 rd October 2024 at 5.30pm

There will be a fundraiser on 4th October at All Saints Cathedral. Requiem mass at Amukura Catholic Church, 8 th October 2024 1:30pm.

The burial will take place on October 9th, 2024 in Kabosokipi Village, Busia County.

Daddy, we loved you dearly, but the Almighty loved you most. Rest in peace
