MARY WANJIKU THIONG’O

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mrs. Mary Wanjiku Thiong’o on 3rd October, 2024.

She was the wife of the late Simon Thiong’o Kagina and co-wife of Tabitha Njeri Thiong’o.

The late Mary was mother of Hannah Wamotho and Christopher Kariuki, Grace Muthoni Thiong’o, Samuel Mungai Thiong’o and the late Martha Wanjiku, Very Rev. Canon Joseph Kimani Thiong’o and Rev. Sarah Gacamiu Kimani, the late David Ndung’u Thiong’o, George Kuria Thiong’o and Jane Wambui, Daniel Njenga Thiong’o and Peninah Waruguru, Moses Ndegwa Thiong’o and Virginia Wanjiru.

She was step-mother of David Ndungu Thiong’o and Susan Warigia, John Njuguna Thiong’o and Margaret Gathoni.

She was sister of the late Grace Muthoni Ngororo, the late Duncan Ndegwa, the late Mary Njeri Mbeca and Margaret Wanja Ndinguri.

The late mary wanjiku was aunt, grandmother and great grandmother to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at 3.00pm at her home in Kiungururia, Mbaruk location, Gilgil Sub County, Nakuru County and at ACK Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd, Nakuru opposite Central Police Station at 5.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

Her journey of rest will commence at Umash Funeral Home, Nakuru on Thursday the 10th October, 2024 at 9.00am.

The Funeral Service and burial will be conducted at her farm in Kiungururia, Gilgil Sub County.
