It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of John Kiwara Wanjihia formerly of the Kenya police service which occurred on 8th October 2024.

Son of the late James Wanjihia and Veronica Wanjiru.

Husband of Leah Mucera. Father of Bernard Wanjihia. Brother of Dr. Jane Wanjihia Mithamo (Ruiru), Assumpta Wairimu (Kyaume High School), Edward Wanjihia (Kisamis), Lydia Mutinda (Kandara Police Station), Joyce Wanjiku Ng’ang’a (Gatundu Children’s Home), David. M. Wanjihia (Mombasa), Lucyanne Mwihaki (Ndarugu Tea Factory), Paschaline Wanjihia (Brookside Dairy Mombasa), and the late Silvester Kiambuthi.

Brother-in-law of Mithamo, Ng’ang’a and the late Mutinda.

Cousin of Helen Mutura (USA), Jacklyn Nyaga (Nairobi), James Wanjihia (Nakuru), Lucas Murugami (USA), Carol Kiwara (Kikuyu), Gabriel Ng’ang’a (Gaichanjiru), Diana Kimani, James Mbothu (Kianyaga High School), James Kiambuthi (Ruiru), George Waruigu, Schola Ng’ethe, Assumpta Kinyanjui, Veronica Kamau among many others.

Uncle of Bridget, Sylvia, Victor, Gertrude, Cynthia, Jude, Jim, Raymond, Isabella, Ted, Kate, Anita, Victoria, Cynthia, Tiffany.

Nephew of the Kiwara’s, the Wanjema’s, the Kariuki’s, the Muriu’s, the Kago’s and the Waruigu’s Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Kirangi Village, Ndarugu Location, Gatundu South.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary Thika Road on Wednesday 16 th October 2024 at 8.00 am.

Funeral service and burial will be at his Kirangi home.
