JAMES MWANGI WAITITU (IBRAHIM)

(1971 – 8 th October, 2024)

From Allah we came and to Allah we shall return

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Mwangi Waititu.

Son of the late Mary Wangui Waititu, grandson of the late Jackson Waititu and Joyce Nyakinyua Waititu.

Mwangi was husband of Aisha Ibrahim and loving father of Noordin Waititu.

Loving brother of Jane Gichuhi, Allan Waititu, Beatrice Waititu, George Tafaria Waititu, Stephen Mbuthia Waititu, Flora Njeri, Margaret Wakini Waititu and Simon Ngatia Waititu.

Son-in-law of Mama Farida Kassim Ahmed. Brother-in-law of John Gichuhi, Beatrice Mukwanjagi, Eunice Mukima, Lucy Mbuthia, Harun Kiriba, Jane Ngatia and Salma Ibrahim.

He was a loving cousin and uncle to many.

Mwangi was a long serving journalist with the Japanese Kyodo News Agency Nairobi Bureau.

Mwangi passed on peacefully on Tuesday morning.

In accordance with his muslim faith, Mwangi was buried on Wednesday 9th October 2024 at the family memorial acre in Deighton Downs.
