JOHN KIMOTHO RUA “HOBSON”

23rd March, 1964 – 9th October 2024

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved John Kimotho Rua through a tragic road accident on 9th October 2024.

Son of the late Paul Rua Kimotho and the late Priscilla Nyakio Rua. Son-in-law of the late Mr & Mrs Waigwa Mbichi. 

Loving husband of Wangari Waigwa -Kimotho. Father of Jewelle Nyakio & Eric Ruenji and Paul Rua.

Doting grandfather of Angel Njeri, Carl Ruenji and Kiyan Kimotho.

Brother of the late Miriam Gathoni & Wanyoike, Naima Wamaitha & Haji, Grace Wangari & Wahome, Lucy Nungari & Mbugua. 

Nephew of the late Joseph Mugambi & Mbuki Mugambi, the late Muhota Kimotho & Wambui Muhota and the late Wangari Kimotho. 

Cousin of Alice Gathoni, the late Nduta & John Mathai, the late David & Rachel Kimotho, Wangari and David Wachira, the late James Ndegwa, the late Paul Rua, Ann Nyakibia, Ngene Gituku, Kim & Juni Muhota. 

Brother in-law of Wairimu, Maina, Muhoro, Kirigo, Mbichi, Mwai, Mwangi and Muturi.

He was uncle, cousin and grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence in Nyeri (Ring Road) and Narumoru for prayers and funeral arrangements from 4.00 pm.

The cortege leaves Narumoru Funeral Home on Friday 18th October at 9:00am.

The burial service will start at 10:00am at his farm in Irigithathi, Narumoru and thereafter interment at the same place.
