FELISHINA WATHUTI KIRUTHU

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Felishina Wathuti Kiruthu, on 17th October 2024, after a long illness bravely borne.

She was a loving wife of the late Germano Kiruthu Maina and cherished mother of Dr. Samuel Kiruthu, James Kiruthu, Dr. Sarah Karinge (Belgium), the late Charles Kiruthu, John Kiruthu, Dr. Felix Kiruthu, Nelson Kiruthu, Mike Kiruthu, Jane Njeri Kihiko (USA), Margaret Ogbole (USA), George Kiruthu and Salome Kiruthu.

She was a dear mother-in-law of Zipporah Kiruthu, the late Catherine Watata, Morgan Karinge Githinji (Belgium), Doris Muhindi (Germany), Julia Mutahi, Amb. Lucy Kiruthu, Lucy Wamaitha, Mercy Wairimu, Betty Gatahi, Martin Kihiko (USA), Johnson Ogbole (USA) and Dr. Wambui Mathenge (USA).

Felishina was a sister of the late Gathoni Ithigua and Kahiu Watata of Kiawaita, Kaheti – Nyeri, and sister-in-law of the late Margaret and Stephen Mathinji, Felix and Theresia Macharia, Mike and Veronica Gatahi, Sister Serah Muringo, Charles Ithigua & Charity Kahiu.

She leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A requiem mass will be held today, 24 October 2024 at Holy Family Basilica, Nairobi at 2:00pm.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, 26th October 2024 at the Kaheti Boys sports grounds in Mukurwe-ini,Nyeri, followed by burial at Kiruthu Ithanji’s farm.

Last funeral preparatory meeting will be held at St. Paul University Chapel tomorrow, 25th October 2024 at 5:30pm.

There will also be a meeting at Allamano Centre (Consolata Shrine) on Thursday commencing 5.30pm.

“Mum fought a good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith” May she rest in eternal peace. Amen!
