It is with great sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Anthony Gichuki Wambugu on 1/11/2024.

Son of the late John Wambugu Macharia and Rebecca Wacera Wambugu. Husband of Naomi Wambui Gichuki. Son-in-law of the late Francis Kiago and Rahab Wangeci.

Father of Douglas Kiago Gichuki, Joan Wacera Gichuki and Dennis Wambugu Gichuki.

Father in law of Lebogang Kiago and Muthoni Wambugu.

Brother of the late David Kambo, Catherine Wanjiru, Bartholomew Mureithi, Alfred Mugenyu, Agnes Wangari, Boniface Mwangi, Rose Ann Wothaya, Josephine Wambui and Susan Njeri. 

Brother in law of the late Karimi Kiago, Susan Wanjiru, John Ndirangu, Jane Wamaitha, Simon Mumburi, Charles Wairagu, Amos Mwaniki and Grace Nyatoro.

He was a Grandfather of Khumoetsile Gichuki Kiago. He was an Uncle to many Nieces and Nephews. He was a cousin and friend to many.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at his Thome Estate home off Thika road, Nairobi from 5:00 pm and at his ancestral home at his late father’s farm in Chorongi Village, Ruringu Ward, Nyeri Sub-County, Nyeri County.

There will be a Memorial Mass Church Service at St Gabriel’s Thome Catholic Church at 4:00 pm on Wednesday 6th November 2024.

The cortege leaves MP Shah Hospital on Friday 8th November 2024 at 6:30 am and proceeds for mass and burial from 10:00 am at his farm in Kaburaini Location, Naromoro in Kieni East, Nyeri County.
