MARGARET WAITHIRA GICHINI

With acceptance of God’s will, we regret to announce the passing on of Margaret Waithira Gichini, proprietor of Lona Funeral Services at Coptic Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Josphat Gichini Ngugi. Daughter of the late Daudi Mugo Njuguna and Naomi Wanjiru Mwatha.

She was co-wife of the late Hannah Nyambura Gichini. She was mother of Martin Mwagiru, Elizabeth Taylor Igamba of U.S.A, Ken Ngugi of Swift Ambulances, Caroline Wangari Gichini of U.S.A. and David Mugo. 

She was stepmother of Bernard Ngugi, Simon Wangigi, Caroline Wangari, Alice Wangari and Peter Gaithuma. 

Mother in law of John Igamba and Anthony Muru Kinyanjui both of U.S.A.

She was sister of Patricia Wairimu Kungu of Tigoni, Mary Njambi Macharia U.S.A., Rose Wanja of Germany, Elizabeth Thithi Kihara U.S.A. and the late Ngendo Mugo and John Njuguna Mugo.

She was a grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Flintstone Restaurant, next to Iran Medical Hospital, Adams Arcade, Ngong road beginning at 5.30 pm. 

The cortege leaves Coptic Hospital mortuary on Tuesday 26-11-2024 at 8.30 am.

Funeral Service will be held at A.C.K St Paul’s Church, Waguthu, Muchatha beginning at 10.30am.

Burial will take place at the family home at Waguthu at 2.00pm.
