It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Micheal John Egessa on the evening of 8th January, 2025.

Born on 10th February, 1976 to the late Sebastian Ogutu and Lorna Achieno and was a social and caring person who touched many lives.

Egessa as known to many was a Senior Financial Advisor at Britam Insurance Kenya Mombasa. 

He was survived by his Wife Rebecca Wanjiru, a loving father of Gyan Egessa, brother of Wandera, Roselida, Raphael, Bishop Dr. Harrison (CUEA), brother in law of: Christine, Nancy, Joyce, Stellah, Alice, Lydia, Jane, David, Eliud, Timothy among others.

Cousin of Cyprian, Mike, Hillary, Lawrence, Pauline, Levina, Oliver, Dalice, Elizabeth, Stephen, Phidellis, Cornel, Habat, Julia, Wilfred, Dan, Wandera, Jacinta and the larger Namfutas across Kenya and Uganda.

Mike was an Uncle of Maxwell, Phillen,Virginiah, Emmanuel, Gloria, Promise, Dominic, Emmanuel, Hope, Enoch,Talia, Lincoln, Nolan and many more.

A nephew of Francisca, Mary, Willix, Linet, Christine and Nelly.

The cortège will depart St. Francis Funeral Home at 10:00 am on 17th January, 2025 for the funeral ceremony and burial, which will take place in Odidi Village, Samia in Busia County on 18 th January 2025.
