ROSEMARY ALUSA ASHIKHUVI MURUMBA

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rosemary Alusa Ashikhuvi Murumba, the esteemed Director of Roshen Lake View Academy in Port Victoria, Busia County, on January 13, 2025. 

Rosemary was the beloved wife of Mathias Makokha Murumba, a devoted mother of Annette Offwette, Betty Makokha, and Hubert Murumba, and a cherished grandmother of Mirrell Offwette, Maya Offwette, and Kenzo Makokha.

She was a loving sister of Phylis, Nancy, Kevin and Patrick. Dear sister-in-law of Peter, Terressia, Martina, Ann, Maria, and Oddah; and a cherished mother-in-law to Gillian. Her nurturing heart extended far beyond her family, as she was also a mother figure to many orphans, offering them love, care, and hope for a brighter future.

Rosemary’s unwavering dedication to education and her visionary leadership at Roshen Lake View Academy transformed countless lives. Her legacy of excellence, compassion, and commitment to empowering others will remain an enduring inspiration to all who knew her.

A meeting and fundraiser will be held, on the 23rd of January, 2025 at the All Saints Cathedral, from 5.00pm – 8.00pm. Additionally, a memorial service will be held on the 24 th of January, 2025 at CITAM Woodley. Further details will be communicated.

The last fundraiser will be on the evening of the 24th of January 2025 at All Saints Cathedral, from 5.00 – 8.00pm.
