REV. FR. JOHN PATRICK KIMATHI

The Catholic Diocese of Meru regrets to announce the death of Rev. Fr. John Patrick Kimathi that occurred on 31st May, 2020, after succumbing to cancer. Until his death, he was the parish priest of Magundu Catholic Parish, in Karimba location, Maara constituency, Tharaka-Nithi County.

Son of Salvatore Kithinji and Ferdinander Igoki. Brother of Br. Lawrence Remo, Paul Micheni, Stella kagendo, Late Michael Murungi, Jusper Muriuki, Justin Gitonga, Peter Munene, Sr. Mary Mwendwa, Lucy Kainyu, Pauline Kawira, Joseph Njeru, Francis Mugambi and Martin Njiru. Nephew of Ephantus, Felix, John, Thaddeus, Charles, Jacob, Jerusa, Agosta, Pauline, Anisia, Speranza, and Rita. Brother in law of Shadrack, Eliphas, Nduta, Kendi, Nasieku, Juddy, Karendi and Shalon. Uncle of Mutuma, Sixtus, Joy, Happiness, Murithi, Mwenda, Perpetual, Monica , Kendi Martin, Kendi Njeru, Mutuma, Violet Mukami, Redempter Mukami, Rita, Clare and late Winjoy. Cousin of Gerald, Frank, Kenfrey, Eric, Nkatha, Mutuma, Mary, Kimathi, Kariuki, Muthuri, Mercy, Gakii and Kithinji.

The cortege leaves Consolata hospital Nkubu, on Saturday 6th June, 2020 at 9:00 am and proceed to St Pius X Seminary, Nkubu for funeral mass at 9:30 am and thereafter, burial at Mujwa Cemetery in Central Imenti, Meru County.
