STEPHEN KAHUBA KOINANGE

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Stephen Kahuba Koinange of Thegenge Location, Tetu Sub-County, Nyeri County. He died on 21/7/2020 after a long illness at Mater Hospital at the age of 83.

He worked with Kenya govt in various capacities as District Officer (DO), District Commissioner (DC) in Kajiado, Kwale and Kapenguria, Kenya Police and Department of Defense (DoD) and served as Deputy Secretary (DS) in the ministry of Transport before retiring from public service.

He is survived by his wife MaryAnne Ruita, children Josephine Kabui Onyekonwu, Tom Kahuba Koinange, Lucy Njeri Nguru, Frank Gichui Koinange, and Susan Nyaguthii Koinange. Father in law to Richard Onyekonwu, Joe Nguru and Lucy Wanjiru and grandfather to Tobenna, Nneka, Kay and Nyaga. Brother to the late Warukira Nyaguthii, the late Wamahiga, the late Susan Gatuku and the late Teresia Wagaki. He was a friend to many in Kenya and the diaspora.

There are no meetings at home and all Covid regulations will be followed.

The cortege will leave KU Mortuary on Monday 27/7/2020 at 7:00 am for burial at his home in Thegenge Location, Tetu Sub-County, Nyeri County starting at 11:00am.
