ELDER KAMAU MUGENDA

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of elder Kamau Mugenda, Director Corporate services KEMRI, who passed on 9th August 2020 after a short illness. Elder Kamau Mugenda, PCEA Evergreen Parish, Milimani North Presbytery.

Son of the Late Mugenda Ndugua and the late Lucy Bayu Mugenda, stepson to Maria Wangari. Beloved husband to Anne Wangeci Kamau and devoted father to Roselyn Bayu Kamau of Co-operative Bank and Charlene Wanjiru Kamau of Riara University. Brother to the late Margaret Wambui Waiganjo, Alfred Njenga Mugenda, the late Jane Wanjiru Amon, Phyllis Waitherero Kamau. Wilfred Ndungu Mugenda and Alex Gitau Mugenda. Step brother to Grace Wangui Maina, James Njenga Mugenda, Jecinter Wambui Mathu, Phyllis Waitherero Mugenda, Reverend David Gutu Mugenda, Jackson Kamau and Teresia Nyokabi Mugenda. Son in law to the late Narickson Gichuki and the late Gladys Wanjiru Gichuki and Gladys Wamuyu Gichuki. Brothers in law to Grace and D.R Kamau, Rose Gichuki; Phoebe Ngure and Late Nguru; Mary and Wanyambura Mwambia, the late Edward Gathanga and Frashia and Lucy Gathanga, Margaret and Paul Kimani (Seattle, U.S.A). He was a caring and loving Uncle to many, a friend to all and an esteemed colleague to many. His legacy of service is gracefully felt by all that he touched.

The final funeral meeting will take place today (Tuesday 11th August 2020) at 3pm at his residence in strict adherence to ministry of health protocols.

The cortege leaves KUTRRH Funeral home tomorrow, Wednesday 12th August 2020 at 8:00am, for a burial at his Weru Home, Muruaki Scheme Kinangop Sub-County on the same day at 11:00 am as per MOH Guidelines.
