We regret to announce the demise of Purity Ngima Gathu on 8/08/2020.

Wife of John Gathu of Lechau Pondo (Kiandege) Nyahururu. Daughter of the late Kagai of Gechaga and Mary Wangu daughter-in-law of the late Dedan Mathai and Cecilia Nyambura. Sister of Zipporah Wanjiru the late Lydia Nyokabi Late, Njogu Kagai and the late Syrnon Wambugu Sister-in-law of John Ngatia, Stephen Muriuki and Hanna Wanja.

Mother of the late Benson Maathai and Ruth Wangui, Pauline Nyambura and Muriuki, Robert Muriithi and Emma Edward Weru & Lydia, Perpetua Muthoni & Chege Symon Wambugu and George Ngatia. Grandmother of Clement Gathu, Allan Karanja, Banice Ngima, Samuel Baratha, Shelmith Wanja, Purity Ngima, Catherene Ngima, Cris Gathu, Cynthia Wanjiku, Blessing Nyambura, Unet Ngima, Brandon Gathu, Abigael Nyambura, Purity Ngima, Clara Muthoni, Winfred Wanjiru, Breda Ngima, Grace Wambui, Alvan Kamau, Pauline Nyambura.

Cortege leaves St. Benedict Nyahururu Funeral Home on Friday, 14th August at 11am for burial at their home in Lechau Pondo on the same day.
